Three Dog Bakery Announces New Flagship Location at the Kansas City Power & Light District

KC-based dog bakery joining the growing downtown district

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Mar. 28, 2024) — The Kansas City Power & Light District announced today it will welcome Three Dog Bakery to the District later this year. This will be the fifth local location for the well-known Kansas City-based dog bakery, taking over the space at 1360 Main Street in downtown Kansas City.

“Three Dog Bakery® is America’s original dog bakery and we have been helping pet parents celebrate birthdays, gotcha days and key milestones in their pets’ lives for over 30 years,” said Joe Dent, president of franchising and corporate bakeries at Three Dog Bakery. “We are thrilled to be opening our new flagship location in the heart of downtown Kansas City and look forward to meeting all the downtown dogs and their parents when we open later this year.”

Alongside dog food and supplies, the new location will offer Three Dog Bakery’s premium dog treats, including Maple Bacon Pancakes and Ice Cream Flavored treat lines. The store will also carry seasonal items, gourmet dog pastries like Pupcakes®, and specialty cakes that can be personalized. This location will also have full-service grooming and a self-service dog washing station. As Three Dog Bakery joins the district community, residents living within the Power & Light District can also look forward to a delivery service straight to their front door.

This announcement is the latest in a string of exciting new tenant announcements from the District, including the grand opening of Modern Market earlier this week, the expansion of Rally House, the Charlie Hustle pop-up and the upcoming grand opening of HomeGrown. The district also prepares to welcome new residents with the opening of the 135-unit Midland Lofts this summer.

The space is highly visible on the KC Streetcar route, making it a convenient stop for downtown workers, visitors and residents to stop in for a treat for their furry friends.
